  • Where are you located?

  • What are your opening hours?
    Office Hours are: 8.00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:00am to 3:00pm Friday During Vintage (February - May): The office is open for extended hours, please contact us for details.
  • Are you open to the public?
    McLaren Vintners operates on a business-to-business model, so we do not offer public wine tastings. However, we welcome visits from our current and prospective customers.
  • How long has McLaren Vintners been in operation?
    McLaren Vintners has been partnering with wine brands to achieve excellence since 2005.
  • Do you hold certifications or accreditations?
    Yes, we are HACCP certified, Australian Certified Organic (ACO/NOP), and many of our analytical services are NATA-accredited. We are also certified by Sustainable Wine Australia since 2021.

  • What are your turnaround times?
    McLaren Vintners laboratory endeavours to provide same day turn around on standard tests outside of vintage. For turnaround times on non-standard tests please get in touch.
  • Can I use your laboratory services if I do not process grapes at McLaren Vintners?
    Yes, you can use our laboratory services even if you do not process grapes at McLaren Vintners. We offer a comprehensive range of laboratory analysis to support winemakers, whether or not they are directly affiliated with our winery.
  • Are you NATA Accredited?
    Yes our laboratory is NATA accredited. Accreditation number 17038
  • How do I drop off a sample?
    Samples can be dropped off directly to the laboratory at 181 Douglas Gully Road McLaren Flat, alternatively samples can be posted to the same address. The laboratory provides sample tickets where you can select the required analysis. This can either be downloaded here or filled out when you arrive at the laboratory.
  • What are the laboratory opening hours?
    Standard laboratory hours: 7am - 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am - 3pm on Friday During Vintage (February - May): The office is open for extended hours, please contact us for details. For same day analysis on standard tests, samples are required by midday.
  • How much do you charge for testing?
    Please download the attached fee schedule and get in touch if you have any questions.

  • Do I need to provide my own barrels?
    Yes. All customers that require oak will need to arrange purchase and delivery of oak to McLaren Vintners along with any barrel racks required. Please feel free to contact the McLaren Vintners winemaking team if you require any advice with regards to oak.
  • How much do you charge for storage?
    Storage rates vary depending on the size of the tank or whether it is in oak. Please reach out to the team to find out more.
  • Do you have open fermenters?
    Yes. We have both open and static fermenters of various capacities to suite your needs.
  • Do you have a crossflow filter?
    Yes. We offer crossflow filtration. Contact us for a quote.
  • What winemaking options do you have?
    We have many different options regarding wine services. Contact us today to see how we can help you.
  • Do you have barrel storage?
    We do store barrels for customers. Contact us to understand barrel storage options.
  • Do you bottle on-site?
    We do not bottle on site. Fortunately we are conveniently situated right next door to Vinpac who can help you with all of your bottling needs.
  • How much do you charge for contract processing?
    Contract processing rates vary depending on the type of service required and total tonnage and batch size. Contact us for a detailed quote.
  • Can you help me with my winemaking?
    Our dedicated team of experienced winemakers can assist you at any level of the process.
  • Do you purchase bulk wine?
    McLaren Vintners does not buy or sell wine. However, many of our customers benefit from the network of people using our facility, often assisting each other with bulk wine needs.
  • Can you store bulk wine for customers?
    Yes we store bulk wine for many different customers. We mostly store wine that is processed at McLaren Vintners, however we also allow customers to bring in bulk wine from other facilities for winemaking purposes.
  • Do you sell bulk wine?
    McLaren Vintners does not sell bulk wine, but we can connect you with many local bulk wine suppliers, some of whom are on-site. Please contact us for more details.
